THE MINE AT SUPYNES 2014
“In three days’ time, the team behind The Mine that call Brighton (via Lithuania) home are taking their sound to a remote part of Aukštaitija National Park for this year’s SUPYNES festival…
“Echoes of intoxicating rhythm are calling from the deep of the woods. For the ninth year in a row, the treetops will tremble to the subtle sounds of music. From June 26th-29th we are waiting for those who have longed for a prime cultural recharge and present a delightful opportunity to leave the city dust behind whilst enjoying wild nature. Four days and three nights in amongst the High, Low, More and Less stages – the usual stuff, just way better this time.
“We are more conscious about environment this year, so the amount of visitors, cars and tickets will be limited.”
Alongside co-founders Duku and Sibla (who we featured earlier this year with a brilliant b2b mix and interview), The Mine are bringing Chestplate founder (and recent FKOF fam) Distance to Lithuania for (what we think) is his first appearance at the festival.
“Distance (born Greg Sanders) is a British dubstep producer and DJ. He’s noted as being a major proponent of the genre, especially since the release of his debut album My Demons on Planet Mu records in January 2007. He also founded the record label Chestplate later that year to promote himself and other dubstep artists.”
The Mine showcase at SUPYNES 2014 kicks off this Friday on the LOW stage from 12-4am GMT (2-6am local time). If you’ve not heard of the festival, here’s a short recap of what went down last year…
Sibla and Distance have both put together promo mixes for their festival appearance later this week. You can find both below!”
